Quickstart Guide
Welcome to Keymate! This guide will help you set up and start using Keymate to build your own AI-powered knowledge base.
Step 1: Create a Keymate Account
Go to keymate.ai and sign up using your email. This will give you access to both the Web App and available integrations.
Step 2: Start Your First Source
- Log in to the Web App
- Click "New Source" to begin uploading content
- Add content via:
- Uploading PDFs or markdown files
- Saving public links
- Writing notes directly in the app or saving pages via the Chrome Extension
As you add sources, they will automatically be grouped into collections, which serve as your organized knowledge spaces.
Step 3: Search and Ask with AI
Use the built-in search interface to:
- Search across your documents and links
- Ask natural language questions like “What was the client’s request last October?”
- Get cited answers within your collection
Step 4: Chat with Your Documents
Use the chat feature directly inside Keymate to:
- Start conversations with your uploaded content
- Ask questions using natural language
- Retrieve insights in real time
- Reference specific parts of documents from within the chat
